Tribute to Chef Marco Pierre White - November 16, 2016


We all have people who inspire us professionally. For Chefs Ferrari and Sutton one of those inspirational figures is Chef Marco Pierre White. "Chef Marco Pierre White has set a standard for this industry" says Chef Ferrari. Chef Sutton adds that Chef Pierre White has "set one of the highest standards in our culinary industry. He set an example that has stuck with us, the importance to have respect, humbleness, tough skin and to execute attention to detail."

Chef Marco Pierre White became Head Chef and joint owner of Harvey’s at 24, with kitchen staff that included the young Gordon Ramsey. At 33, he became the youngest chef to be awarded three Michelin starts. Learn more about him on his website.

We are advocates for seasonal sustainable produce and proteins and are always cultivating relationships with a network of local purveyors to ensure stellar ingredients. We also know that carefully pairing a wines will lead to memorable meals.

This month's Third Wednesday meal will feature Tatomer Wines. Graham Tatomer began working in the wine business at 16 for Satan Barbara Winery. Later, in 2003 he moved to Austria to get a better grip on growing and making Riesling. While working with Weingut Knoll he was introduced to Grüner Veltliner grape.

Second course - 2012 Meeresboden Grüner Veltliner & 2012 Paragon Grüner Veltliner
Third course - 2014 Kick-on Ranch Pinot Noir
Fourth course - 2009 Vandenberg Riesling
